Something I read in the news today:

So there is this guy who apparently ordered an ice cream truck from an ice cream truck manufacturer. I didn't even realize you could purchase ice cream trucks. I always thought ice cream trucks were those creepy 70's vans that end up being converted into childhood fantasy on wheels.

He spends $17,000 on this vehicle and is apparently not happy with it. He calls the manufacturer, which apparently is a small operation of two guys, and asks for a refund because he's dissatisfied. The owner tells him no and the dispute is on. I'm not sure how long the back and forth went regarding a refund but it drove the purchaser to a point of no return.

The buyer ends up driving to the manufacturer with a plan. He kills one of the two employees with a gun and takes hostage the owner. Not sure how long the hostage situation panned out but they end up arresting the guy for murder and the owner lives. Of course the guy is tried in court and is sentenced to several years in prison.

So this guy is sitting in prison and is fumed about not getting his refund and still thinks he deserves one. Somehow he is able to retain a lawyer and go after the owner, who he took hostage, and sue him for the refund! And so far it is looking like he will win his case!!!
